Art of Vampirella HC ReviewAlthough it has a nice introductory section devoted to Vampirella's beginnings at Warren, the vast majority of the content of this volume is focused on cover and poster art from the 1990's and later. The Warren section is mostly limited to smaller sized reproductions, while the rest of the volume is heavy on large, full page presentations of the art. I'm guessing Dynamite is holding back larger repro's of the Warren era work for their Vampirella reprint series. Paper quality and weight is closer to what you would expect to see in a magazine rather than a hardcover book, but the color reproduction is reasonably good despite some isolated inconsistencies here and there. Dynamite seems to have been fairly democratic with the range of artists in this book, so the art quality runs the gamut from truly outstanding efforts to some fairly mediocre work. There are plenty of artistic "big guns" on the roster though, so overall the book is a solid value for the economical $20 price.Art of Vampirella HC Overview
